The
products we carry are selected with care. First of all, we look for items that
are used daily and can be replaced by a reusable product, a product without
plastic, or a healthier variant.

We
prefer manufacturers in the U.S.A,
particularly small family-owned businesses that make products that are organic, vegan,
plastic-free, and sustainably sourced. A few products, like the
stainless-steel lunch boxes, are not made in the U.S.A. We work with companies
that are transparent and accountable for fair treatment of the workers
overseas. Products from certified B Corp companies have priority. To earn
the certificate B Corp, the company is checked on social responsibility, environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
We check if a product is made sustainable. This is important, because not all natural materials are sourced without damaging the environment. We value the FSC certification and pay attention if a tree will be replanted.
The next step is checking the
product quality through rigorous testing. Products are tested for weeks,
including the four teens who are ruthless evaluators. Only functional products,
of good quality, and durable make it to the store.
Finally,
it is important how the manufacturer packs and ships the item. Plastic wrapping
is not accepted; the product must be
shipped sustainably.
A lot
of time is spent on product research and selection. We select only
environmentally-conscious suppliers and make sure they have the same standards
as we have. If no satisfying answers are given, we continue
our search.
